Valentine's Day
Again, this day of Saint Valentine
Who never had a knight of valour
By Providence or some master design
I've pledged my banner to the martyr
So on this day I drop my shield
With chevrons of hearts now broken
Discard my breastplate to reveal
Scars of challenge and trials unspoken
I've quested in moors; in temples lost
I kept the faith both strong and bold
as damsel after damsel saved was not
my princess bride as was foretold
So dear lady, your knight still awaits as he has awaited long
A peerless warrior fearing only that you've come and gone
